Authors


Elizabeth Xu, Ph.D., High-tech executive, columnist, executive mentor, leadership speaker and Stanford Continuing Studies teaching faculty. In recent years, Elizabeth devoted her time to elevating leadership skills in the technical community. Her well-received presentation, “Ten Steps to a Successful Career”, provides building blocks for individuals who pursue leadership careers. The workshop has been offered as a class at Stanford University (WSP 229) where she co-teaches with her mentor of 20+ years Ms. Pat Zimmerman.

Ms. Patricia Zimmerman, Jefferson and Kennedy Award winner, leadership mentor, retired from management positions at AT&T. Retirement years have been spent on volunteer work on political campaigns, teaching adults to read, write, and speak the English language and helping to expand Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at the University of Nevada, Reno. She was on the OLLI Board of Directors for five years. She is a certified Supervisory Trainer for ProLiteracy America and conducts workshops teaching other volunteers to train and tutor adults.
